Meet our finalists:
Beth Whelan, Director of Strategy and Transformation, TDX Group. Transformation of the Year
Beth has shown exceptional ability leading a functional team with outstanding results – financial or otherwise - for the firm she works for.
Beth led the development and roll out of the new TDX Group business strategy, delivering over 20% growth within the first nine months. Built a high performing Strategy and Transformation team who have implemented a number of innovative initiatives to deliver continued, sustainable, double digit growth.
In addition, Beth led the development of a winning bid strategy for Government Debt Resolution Services tender, securing TDX the opportunity to continue to build upon the achievement of recovering £3 billion of money for taxpayers since 2015. Developed a social value strategy which includes using our unique data and insights to help Government policy development and tackling key issues within the debt industry such as access to debt advice, vulnerability and financial education
Beth is passionate about delivering on our purpose to make the debt industry better for everyone. That passion drives her to constantly look for opportunities to innovate and improve which helped the business win industry recognition as the Credit Strategy Collection and Recoveries Provider of the year in 2021 and Best Public Sector Team of the Year in 2022.
Jenny Thackwray - Account Manager, TDX Group. Rising Star of the Year
Transitioning from Customer Services to Account Management during summer of 2021, Jenny has proactively immersed herself in her role and team, ensuring her voice is heard, her client’s needs are understood and the business remains at the forefront of the industry through continuous innovation, strategically designed to efficiently address client needs.
Jenny became a key driving force within Debt Services; picking up one of our largest financial services clients, growing that relationship among others at a superb pace. Enhancing tool capabilities internally and establishing strategic partnerships externally. Her admirable networking abilities have been well proven, all while balancing being a young working mother and military wife.
Phillip McGilvray - Managing Director, TDX Group. Mentor of the Year
Phil McGilvray, Managing Director, TDX Group, exhibits an unparalleled commitment to empowering female mentees, resulting in a profound impact on the personal and professional development of his female colleagues. Phil’s commitment to providing meaningful mentorship and support has helped many of his mentees achieve their potential in their careers and it has also helped him grow as a leader too.
Phil developed and coached a new leadership team to strengthen and drive commercial growth whilst helping individuals realise their potential. Ensuring new hires were a 50/50 gender split, under Phil’s leadership the proportion of women in management roles increased from 29% to 39%.#
Under Phil’s leadership and with support through career mentoring and coaching, the only two recent promotions from the Debt Services Leadership team to the Equifax UK Executive team have both been female.
