Nottingham's TDX Group named among UK’s best workplaces
Press Release 01 June 2009
Nottingham based TDX Group, a market-leader in the debt industry, has once again been named one of the top fifty UK’s Best Workplaces in the Great Place to Work® Institute’s annual rankings, as published in the Financial Times and the Guardian. The company featured in the list for the second year running, which was topped this year by Danone.
Mark Onyett, CEO of TDX Group, commented: “Being named in the Financial Times and the Guardian, as one Britain’s best places to work for the second year running is a fantastic achievement for TDX Group - especially given the turbulent economic times, and that our business was founded just 5 years ago.
“This award means a lot to us because it is based on first hand feedback from our employees. Great people have been key to our success and our growth. We put a lot of focus on ensuring we continue to attract and retain the best and the brightest, offering them challenging and diverse experiences, so that we are able to deliver the best possible solutions to our clients."
The Great Place to Work® Institute evaluates the degree of trust in relationships at organisations by analysing employee responses to its Trust Index© Employee Survey and Culture Audit management survey. The research encompasses key metrics that determine a leading working environment, from the benefits available to employees through to levels of trust with senior management.
The UK’s Best Workplaces Programme is run by the Great Place to Work® Institute UK, which forms part of the world’s largest scheme to recognise excellence in people management. A great place to work is one where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people with whom they work.
Williams Johnson Commercial Manager for Great Place to Work® Institute commented:
“The Best Workplace Programme is more than just a ranking. It’s an employee’s glimpse into the heart of their company’s culture. What we are seeing now is that the level of trust in businesses has fallen - we are in a trust recession and businesses urgently need to regain its mandate to lead. A trusting environment is particularly important considering the uncertain economic times. The organisations which have made it into the Top 50 ranking clearly demonstrate a great place to work and other businesses would do well to emulate their approach.”
